TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Anglo-Dutch energy giant Royal Dutch Shell has indicated preparedness to join Iran’s petrochemical industry via knowledge transfer and partnership in value chain completion.

Shell officials held a meeting with the officials from Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) on the sidelines of the 13th Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF-2017) to discuss avenues for establishing cooperation and partnership in petrochemical projects and value chain completion in Iran.

The event was held Managing Director of the NPC and Hans Nijkamp, Shell's vice president for Iran.

Addressing the meeting Nijkamp said Shell can cooperate with Iran in knowledge transfer for developing gas to liquids (GTL) facilities as well as production of items that would complete the value chain in petrochemical activities.

Iran offers Shell many opportunities because of its strategic location, access to global markets and vast domestic market, the Shell official said.

There are many potentialities and Shell is ready to cooperation with Iran in any field possible, he added.
