Speaking to NIPNA, Farnaz Alavi said by holding the event, National Petrochemical Company (NPC) aimed at providing a picture of the future of the industry in Iran with an eye on the current challenges in the industry.
“The forum provided for an opportunity for petrochemical industrialists to exchange views and get the latest updates regarding the developments in the sector,” she said.
This edition of the forum saw a major growth in the number of foreign and Iranian participants and speakers, she said.
Over 1,600 participants from 18 countries partook in the event to learn from the latest developments in the sector.
Issues like feedstock supply and Iran’s advantages in supplying petrochemical throughput to operating facilities, methods of financing projects by companies and their partnership in projects were discussed during the conference.
The two-day forum started on Saturday at IRIB’s conference hall in Tehran.
