NPC, Linde in Talks for Petchem Coop.

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Germany's Linde Group is in talk with Iran's petrochemical companies for returning to and investing in the country's projects.

 

As an example, Christian Bruch, member of the Linde executive board, met with Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei on the sidelines of the 13th Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) in order to discuss avenues for investing in projects in Iran.

The two officials considered future cooperation of Linde with Iranian partners in petrochemical projects. 

Linde investment and partnership in Damavand Petrochemical Utility Project and a number of methanol projects in Iran were also discussed during the meeting. 

German industrial gases group Linde has signaled readiness to directly invest in petrochemical projects in Iran. 

Earlier, Amir Hossein Zamani-nia, deputy petroleum minister in international affairs and trading, said very good and thorough talks have been held with the German company and provided that conditions are suitable, it is ready to directly invest in Iran's petrochemical industry. 

He said investment, technology transfer and facilitation of negotiation processes with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and other Iranian petrochemical companies are the chief highlights of talks with the Linde Group.
