Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director of production control at NPC, said NPC views support for domestic suppliers as a national strategy.
"Iran's petrochemical industry is entering a new stage in its development and domestic manufactures can have a key role in the sector's progress," the official said.
He also stressed the need for exploitation of the latest technologies in production of items by Iranian manufacturers, saying their progress has been considerable in various petroleum industry sectors in recent years.
"Iranian manufacturers are now capable of producing key industrial items and are now expected to raise their capabilities by cooperating with leading international companies.
