Veep to Launch 2 Petchem Projects in Khuzestan

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- First Vice-president Eshaq Jahangiri is scheduled to launch several major projects in the southwestern province of Khuzestan including two petrochemical projects.

 

The official will leave Tehran for Khuzestan on Monday to attend the launching ceremony of the projects. 

During his two-day stay, Jahangiri will attend a ceremony for setting in motion a catamaran manufactured by Arvandan Shipbuilding Company. 

He will also head to Mahshahr petrochemical zone to launch Persian Gulf Oil Factory at Imam Khomeini Port. 

Moreover, he will inaugurate Takht Jamshid and Karoon petrochemical projects in the city of Ahwaz. 

On the second day of his stay, Jahangiri will head to the city of Behbahan on Tuesday and launch the city's combined-cycle power plant. The plant runs on two gas units and generates 362 megawatts of power.
