According to the company’s public relations office, the unit came online in January and is now operating at 120% of its rated capacity.
Head of the complex Mohammad Isa Anousha has said the unit is operating at a satisfactory level and all control operations are been smoothly carried out at the complex.
He said this is a new record among other such units in the country. There are seven polyester production units in Iran.
Tondgouyan Petrochemical Plant is Iran’s biggest supplier of pure and polyethylene terephthalate. The plant has plans to launch its Poly H unit in the near future.
