Addressing an oil conference here in Tehran on Wednesday, the official said moving the technological borders in the petrochemical sector as well as maximization of production capacity of the facilities are high on NPC’s agenda.
She said scientific, economic and technological advancements in the world have made it mandatory for other nations to progress in technological grounds.
The official called on knowledge-based companies in Iran to generate technologies by relying on the available infrastructures as well as material and spiritual capital in the country.
Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs, said, besides other activities, NPC has tried to tap its research potentialities at the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (a subsidiary of the NPC) in order to offer technical assistance to petrochemical projects inside the country.
She said the company has so far been successful in development of new technologies for production of PVM, PP, methanol and many catalysts with wide usage in production of petrochemicals all by relying on domestic capabilities.
