PSEEZ 9-Month  Exports Up 23% Y/Y

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The export of products from Pars Special Energy Economic Zone (PSEEZ) rose by 23% in the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 from the same period last year, the complex’s managing director said.

 

Mehdi Yousefi said the exports fetched the region $11b in revenues that is up 23% year-on-year. 

He said the exports also rose by 43% in weight. 

During the first 9 months of the current calendar year, 24.57 million tons of non-oil products valued at $10.96b was exported. 

Only during the Iranian calendar month of Azar (ended Dec. 20), over 2.78 million tons of products valued at $1.78b were exported from PSEEZ, said Yousefi. He said the amount was higher from last years similar period by 28% and 10% in terms of weight and value respectively. 

Most of the exported items from the region were diethylene glycol, urea, butane, propane, paraxylene, mono-  and triethylene glycol, light and heavy density polyethylene, gas condensates, cement and methanol.
