Speaking to NIPNA, Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs said lack of integrity between petrochemical exporters in Iran is the biggest hindrance in export of petrochemicals to international markets.
This lack of integrity among exporters has gives way to middlemen to influence the price of goods in foreign markets which is causing troubles for exporters, he added.
Niknafs said Iran has played a key role in the region's petrochemical markets in recent years but lack of integrity between exporters does negatively impact this role.
Iran's petrochemical exports is expected to hit 20 million tons by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 21 2017.
The country expects to produce 50 to 51 million tons of petrochemical in the current year.
