TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Kharg Petrochemical Plant processed nearly 700,000 tons of petrochemical products in the first 7 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

The plant reached 93% of its production goals by supplying the amount during the period.
Dubbed as one of Iran’s oldest petrochemical plants, Kharg Petrochemical Plant supplied 92.13 thousand tons of petrochemicals during the month of Mehr (the 7th month in the Iranian calendar, September 22-October 21). 
The 7-month exports of the company stood at 682,000 tons, fetching it some $160m. 
The plant is a supplier of methanol, propane, butane, naphtha and sulfur.
