Bandar Imam Petchem Exports Cross 1mt since March

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company (BIPC) exported more than one million tons of its petrochemical products in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20 to October 21.

 

The exports fetched the company over $414 million in revenues.

Only in the month of Mehr (September 22-October 21), the seventh month in Iranian calendar year, the Company exported more than 126,000 tons of products for $47.17 million. 

In an interview with NIPNA, Managing Director of the Company Reza Amiri had said earlier that the company would raise its salable output by 20% in the first half of the current year.

The company supplied about 2.5 million tons of petrochemicals in the first half of this year, up 20% year-on-year, said the official. However, the company’s revenues did not change much from a years earlier thanks to the international price slump in petrochemical markets. 

BIPC’s products are mainly liquid gas, propane, butane, and are usually exported.
