Chinese Firm Offers $400m Investment in Catalyst Project in Iran

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- A Chinese company has indicated its readiness to invest some $400 million in a catalyst production project in Iran.

Majir Reza hariri, vice president of Iran-China Chamber of Commerce, told NIPNA that China has recently stated it would readily invest in a catalyst production project in Iran by as much as $400m of investment. 
China is Iran’s biggest customer of petrochemical products. 
“Chinese companies, just like their international rivals, are just ready in join petrochemical projects in Iran,” he said. 
Hariri added that the volume of trade between Iran and China will cross 60 billion dollars by the next ten years. 
He said the petrochemical industry will play a major role in the trade between the two countries, calling on Iranian petrochemical industrialists to mind production of the items mostly called for by their Chinese customers to win a biggest share in the country’s petrochemical market.
