European Firms Keen on Joining Iran Petchem Projects

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Denmark-based technology, catalyst and services supplier Haldor Topsoe (Topsoe) and Thyssen Krupp Engineering AG have indicated their willingness to cooperate with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and contribute to Iran's petrochemical projects.

 

Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei held meetings with representatives of the two companies on the sidelines of the K 2016 Trade Fair in Germany's Dusseldorf Wednesday. 

During the meeting she elaborated on NPC's activities and latest achievements and introduced the grounds the two European chemical heavyweights can join Iran's petrochemical industry. 

The trade fair K 2016 opened in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 19 October and will run through October 26. It presents the innovations of the international plastics and rubber industry.

For their part, the Topsoe directors said they are interested in contribution to Iran's urea, ammonia and methanol projects.

Meanwhile, Thyssen Krupp Engineering AG directors said are ready to cooperate in PVC.

Shahdaie, Managing Director of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) Adel Nejad-Salim, Petrochemical Commercial Company (PCC) Executive Director Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs, and Iran’s Ambassador to Germany Ali Majedi addressed the Düsseldorf expo on Thursday. 

Senior directors of several big European Companies also dedicated their speech to Iran petrochemical industry.
