Dutch Gov’t in Favor of NPC, Shell Cooperation

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Dutch Ambassador to Tehran Susanna Terstal voiced her government’s support for cooperation between Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and the Anglo-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell on petrochemical and energy projects.

 

Speaking to NIPNA on the sidelines of a ceremony held to sign a letter of intent by Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and Royal Dutch Shell here in Tehran on Sunday, Terstal said Netherlands is interested in enhancing its ties with Iran in various sectors, adding signature of the document can pave the ground for enhancement of cooperation between the two companies.

She said Shell’s vast technical experiences and savvy and NPC’s potentialities ensure a bright future for cooperation between them, expressing hope that the LoI will lead to future investment and transfer of the latest technical savvy to Iran’s energy sector. 

Shell and NPC signed a letter of intent on Sunday to broaden their discussion for cooperation on energy and petrochemical projects. 

Based on the document, Shell will spend some 8 to 9 months studying its presence and investment as well as carrying out petrochemical projects in Iran.
