Speaking to NIPNA, Mohsen Zarei said the plant is being built with €520 of investment by Chinese financiers.
He said the project has progressed ahead of the plan and all the equipment and machinery for its construction has been provided.
Zarei said the plan will become productive by May 2017, adding over 80% of the stuff for completion of the project has been purchased and most of them has so far been installed in their designated spots.
He also said the gas-fed plant will receive power from Isfahan gas grid.
Once completed, Lordegan Petrochemical Plant will supply a million tons of urea and 677,000 tons of ammonia annually.
The project is being built in 300 hectares of land in the western province of Charmahal and Bakhtiari.
